The AFSP is an advocacy organization that funds research to find better ways to prevent suicide and supports those who have been affected by suicide. Each year AFSP holds the Chicagoland Out of the Darkness Walk, and offers other opportunities to volunteer.

Youth Outreach Services (YOS) is a Chicago-based non-profit organization that partners with at-risk youth and their families to help them discover what they are capable of achieving. We inspire positive development through a variety of child welfare, counseling, juvenile justice, and prevention services to help overcome challenges such as abuse, substance use, and homelessness. Y.O.U. is a youth development agency that provides services and leadership to meet the emerging needs of young people and their families in the community. Their vision is that all young people acquire the skills, self-confidence and opportunity to participate fully, freely and responsibly in the life of the community. Y.O.U.’s services are easily accessible through their daily presence at seven school-based sites and two neighborhood-based centers. Their out-of-school-time programs are scheduled in conformity with the academic calendars of Districts 65 and 202 so that programming is provided on half-days and on many school holidays. Their after-school programming begins immediately at the end of each school day. They offer summer programming for five hours Monday – Friday at three sites.
All of their services are provided at no cost to their clients. Six of Y.O.U.’s seven sites (1430 South Boulevard, ETHS, Chute, Nichols, Oakton and Washington schools), are accessible to people with mobility impairments.

Rincon's Mental Health Services are offered as part of a continuum of care. A mental health system of care committed to strengthening and healing families, couples and individuals from all walks of life.
